    Charles is an accomplished engineer with deep-rooted expertise in computer vision and artificial intelligence. He earned both a PhD and a BEng (Hons) in Information Systems Engineering at the University of Surrey, where he was also a Visiting Researcher. Over more than 25 years he has built a track record of steering world-class products from concept through to deployment, drawing on both advanced algorithms and electronic design.

    He has been instrumental in the control and processing software behind applications as varied as DNA analysis and distributed acoustic sensing. Earlier in his career he co-founded OmniPerception, a successful facial-recognition start-up — subsequently acquired — where he created the world-leading Magellan™ video-analysis product.

    A highly experienced data scientist, AI specialist and product manager, Nic has delivered software products and analytics projects to users worldwide over many years. As a founder of React AI he brings ten years' experience in data science and AI, leading projects with clients and partners of all sizes and combining data science with full-stack solution development.

    He was previously technical lead and global Head of Equity Capital Markets IT at Credit Suisse, running teams of developers delivering cutting-edge products — including derivatives risk systems — in a fast-moving, highly mathematical environment, and acting as a bridge between business and technical teams.

We specialise in real-world sensor data: gathering it, analysing it, and validating the complex models that combine many sources into one reliable signal. And we cover every product stage — from requirements and prototype hardware through to end-to-end systems.

We were the AI specialists for the grant-funded CCAV / Innovate UK Flourish consortium.
